Annual Meeting for the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery

Every year, the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery hosts an in-person gathering for active members and Repair Network representatives. Coalition members are those who are involved in a committee or working group, or are active volunteers with the Coalition. Because the Diocese of the Susquehanna is a registered Repair Network, all its members are considered Repair Network representatives.

The Coalition’s mission is to call on the Christian Church to address the extinction, enslavement, and extraction done in the name of Christ on Indigenous lands.

The 2026 annual gathering will be hosted by two congregations: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 248 Seneca St., Harrisburg, PA 17110, and Landisville Mennonite Church, 3320 Bowman Rd., Landisville, PA 17538, from July 31-August 3.

If you plan to join for all or part of the long weekend in person, please RSVP by July 15. A Zoom option will be available for Annual Meeting sessions; please register by July 25 to join online.

Registration cost: $40 for the Annual Meeting.

Homestays and Transportation

Host church parishioners are invited to help welcome out-of-town Coalition members by offering homestays, breakfast when possible, or transportation to and from meetings and arrival/departure points. Homestays may be needed for one to five nights between July 30 and August 4, though many guests will request Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Potential hosts and drivers will be connected with Michelle Lee, the Coalition’s logistics coordinator, who will match available assistance with guest needs.
