Diocesan Book Study: The Serviceberry

Join the Beloved Community Commission in its ongoing reparations work by participating in a summer book study of The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer. The book study will be held via Zoom over two sessions on July 29 and August 5 at 6:30 p.m. Participants are highly encouraged to attend both sessions.

Elizabeth Gilbert writes, Robin Wall Kimmerer is “a great teacher, and her words are a hymn of love to the world.” The Serviceberry is an antidote to the broken relationships and misguided goals of our times, and a reminder that “hoarding won’t save us, all flourishing is mutual.”
