Diocesan Women’s Retreat

Women of the Diocese are invited to join Bishop Audrey Scanlan in stepping away, resting, and being renewed in Christ’s gentle presence at a retreat this January at Kenbrook Center in Lebanon. The theme of “Rest and Renewal in the Seasons of Life” will be explored through three sessions:

1. Seasons of Life (Ecclesiastes 3:1) with the Rev. Sarah Weedon (retired)
   • “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
   • Theme: God is present in every changing season — joy and grief, growth and loss.
   • Invitation: Trust that no season is wasted; each holds meaning under God’s care.
2. Rest for the Soul (Matthew 11:28–30) with the Rev. Lisa Work (Christ Memorial, Danville)
   • “Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.”
   • Theme: Jesus offers rest, gentleness, and peace in the middle of life’s burdens.
   • Invitation: Let go of what weighs you down and find refreshment in Christ’s presence.
3. Renewal and Hope (Revelation 21:5) with the Rev. Mary Kisner (St. Luke’s, Lebanon)
   • “See, I am making all things new.”
   • Theme: God promises ongoing renewal, not only at the end of time but even now in the midst of our daily lives.
   • Invitation: Embrace God’s work of restoration and healing — personally and communally.

The cost is $180 for double occupancy, $235 for single occupancy, or $70 for commuters not lodging at the retreat center.
