As a Christian who practices in the Episcopal tradition, there is great emphasis on how we understand community. We come together in community to worship, and we support each other in community as we strive for justice and peace in the world.

In our gatherings, we create a community where the Holy is encountered. One of the early teachers of Christianity, St. Paul, advised: Look not to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Philippians 2:4)
